Title: Fairy Tale Remnants

Artist/Author: Nathalie Tierce

Nathalie Tierce finds a visual language in the genre of fables and allegories, portraying psychological dramas where robots, animals, and dinosaurs embodying some aspect of ourselves, battle out impossible scenarios.

Conflicts are reimagined on a surreal landscape without its adherence to things like gravity or logic, a nod is given to a dreamlike world driven by the unconscious.

Predatory monsters and human beings fight for their interests without the benefit of civility.

This book feels like the deliciously bizarro intersection of a child’s wild fever dream and a grown-up’s super color-saturated fantasy world. Visual escapism at ts most gratifying and thought provoking, for ages 9 to 90.
