The Bore
The Bore
She stared at her screen, thumb hovering over the left swipe. The Bore, tusks and all, stared back. His face, a tangle of rough fur, carried the weight of long nights and forgotten promises. The shirt clung to him, stained with something—maybe coffee, maybe worse. She nearly dismissed him. Nearly.
But there was something in his eyes. A glint, sharp and alive, cutting through the grime. It wasn’t charm; it wasn’t soft. But it was there. A flicker of something raw. His smile crooked, his arm tattooed with the figure of a sultry pig, familiar yet distant.
She hesitated. Maybe, just maybe, there was more under the fur and stains. Maybe under the boar's skin, there was a story worth hearing. Her thumb moved right.
